Disclaimer:  Thanks to my partnership with Fit Approach, I am taking part in the #taketheleap with prAna.  I received my choice of a top and bottom from prAna for review.  All opinions expressed are my own.

During the #taketheleap challenge, I was afforded the opportunity to test out some of the beautifully sustainable clothing created by prAna.  One of the things that sets prAna aside from their competitors, is there focus on environmental conscious materials.  As noted on their website,

“prAna uses the term ‘environmentally conscious’ for our materials when they have a reduced environmental impact as compared to conventional materials. For example, lower impact might mean less energy to produce a fiber as with using recycled polyester and utilizing organic cotton reduces the amount of pesticides used as compared to regular cotton.  Understanding the full impact of a fiber from its origin, to its processing, to its finishing is a large task. We are committed to understanding the full impact of our products and seeking out solutions that are more sustainable. We see this journey as a never ending learning experience – for what is sustainable today may not be sustainable in the future.”

I received both the prAna Paisley Jacket in Sea Green and the Tori Capri in Black.  The Tori Capri is perfect for yoga.  These capris are made of incredibly soft performance fabric.  And, they really stay put which is always a challenge when shopping for capris.  The black detail on the lower leg is a nice accent to separate these from other capris.  #taketheleap with prAna

I recently wore the prAna Paisley Jacket, during our trip to Walt Disney World for the Princess Half Marathon weekend.  I even wore it during the runDisney Kids Races with my daughter!  She is my motivation for making fitness a priority so it was very special to share my love of running with her.  I received several compliments on this jacket from my family and friends.  It was the perfect weight for the chilly mornings we experienced.  Once spring hits in NY, I can’t wait to wear this on the run.  I really love that there is reflective piping on the front and back of the jacket.  Plus, the sleeve length is generous, with a fun scalloped cuff.  You can see the sleeve and the finger loop in the photo above.  Not only is it comfortable but the color is so vibrant.  It is perfect for spring, or the hope of spring for those of use freezing in the Northeast!

  1. This inspires me to look at Prana again. At one point I had a few pieces I really liked then I lost weight and when I restocked my clothing I didn't include Prana (not intentional, probably a function of where I was shopping). The detail on those capris is so cute!
