Packed Full of Goodness with Plentí Greek Yogurt

PLENTI YOGURT 1

When it comes to juggling the demands of life with developing everyday healthy habits, I’m definitely a work in progress. As a working mom, I almost never feel as though time is on my side. Since my job as a social worker can sometimes be very demanding of my time and even requires on-call hours, I have to make sure that I prepare for my work days in advance, especially when I have a workout or run scheduled at the end of the business day.

That means preparation is key!  I make sure my gym bag is stuffed with goodies.  From Body Glide to hair ties and running skirts to compression socks; every night it’s repacked and ready to go for the work day.  I also try really hard to make sure that I pack my breakfast, lunch and snacks for work too.  During marathon training, I find that I typically get the urge to snack mid-afternoon.  Lately, I added Plentí Greek Yogurt to my daily rotation of snacks.  Plentí Yogurt is Greek yogurt with whole grain oats, flax & pumpkin seeds and delicious fruit mixed right in.  Plentí comes in eight flavors (Vanilla, Coconut, Black Cherry, Blueberry, Peach, Raspberry, Spiced Apple, and Strawberry) and packs 12 grams of protein per serving.  And, with an even 1:1 ratio of protein to sugar, it’s a substantial and satisfying snack. Some days I really need that quick boost of energy from Plentí so that I can tackle my post work run!

  1. I love Greek yogurt! Chobani is usually my go-to but I'm very interested in trying Plenti. I saw it in the supermarket over the weekend but I think I'll pick up a few the next time I go food shopping.

  2. Looks interesting! I would definitely try this…will look for it in my local store. 🙂

I usually like to grab a Fuji apple. I think they are feeling and sweet. I did grab a few containers of plenti on our last shopping trip, but I have yet to try them. I’m going to grab one for a snack today.

    • I like apples for one of my office snacks too! I always feel good after I eat an apple 😉 I like that the Plenti yogurts have great flavor and a little crunch.

  4. I tried the Black Cherry and YUM!!!!!

  5. I love greek yogurt as a snack and I have tried this kind and I really like it. Although I do wish it wasn't low fat. I prefer the full fat yogurt. The fat keeps me fuller longer and during marathon training I need the extra fat!

    • Ha, I get plenty of fat in my diet… Whoops! But, I hear what you are saying 🙂 I feel like I can eat the world if I'm not careful these days. It wasn't like this the last time I trained for a marathon. Ugh.
