Earlier this month, I participated in the BOSU and Sweat Pink #FitFamily Challenge. I had the opportunity to test out the BOSU HOME BALANCE TRAINER and Cora received the BOSU SPORT 50CM BALANCE TRAINER. Back when I had a gym membership, I used a BOSU ball regularly so it is awesome to now have one in my ever-growing home gym.
Today, I’m joining the Friday Five Link-up with Courtney of Eat, Pray, Run DC, Mar of Mar on the Run, and Cynthia of You Signed Up for What? to share why I love having a BOSU in my home gym.
Here are Five Reasons to love your BOSU Balance Trainer!
- Balance: Standing on a BOSU requires some serious balance. You have to engage a lot of muscles on both sides of your body in order to stay but on the trainer. I mean, they don’t call it a balance trainer for nothing! I have to say, that Cora really enjoys practicing her ballet moves on it and I have noticed that it really has paid off for her when she goes to her dance class.
- Versatility: You can take your workouts anywhere! Since it was very warm this past months, we were able to use our BOSU outdoors. Now that the air is getting chilly here in NY, it’s time to keep it in our home gym. And, the exercise options are endless! Try lunges, squats, push-ups, burpess, you name it!
- Strength: Anytime you use the BOSU, you are engaging lots of different muscles, especially all of those stabilizers. One of my goals over the winter is to get a stronger core. I think the BOSU will be key for this challenge!
- It’s for everyone: I really enjoy that our whole family uses the BOSU. We can all challenge ourselves in different ways using the same balance trainer. Modifications can be made to make things a little bit easier or a little bit more challenging. And, you can use your BOSU to tackle your upper body or lower body… you pick!
- It’s FUN: Cora absolutely loved doing the Challenge and looked forward to coming home from work and school to complete the daily prompts. As a parent, it is really cool to see you child enjoy some of the same things that you do. And, the fact that we are instilling some healthy habits in her at an early age is really important to me and my husband.

I love when my children join in a run or workout with me. We are getting Just Dance 2016 for the family to add fun and fitness to the household for Christmas, but I am thinking this BOSU may be a great addition as well.
If I had a dancing bone in my body, I would love to try Just Dance… maybe I should just get over myself because I bet my daughter would have fun with it!
I did a workout on the Bosu a yesterday at the gym and I am really feel it it in my abs today. A great core workout.

It's so tough. No matter what type of exercise I do on the BOSU, I feel it all over!
Cora is so cute!!! I've wanted a BOSU for a while. I just don't want to pay for one. They are so expensive!! Now of course I really want a pink one!!! Thanks a lot!! 🙂
Thanks, I think she's cute too 😉 I agree, they are expensive but they are pretty darn versatile. So, if you like to stay away from the gym (like me!) then I think it is a good investment…. Tell Dan it's on your birthday list!!
I'm looking you up from the Grow Your blog hop and I'm following your IG too. Great feed and I'm looking forward to hearing more about you.
keep going!

Thanks! I'm looking forward to the blog hop too! In the meantime, I have a big race weekend to get through and then can look forward to connecting!!
I had so much fun doing this campaign! I loved seeing your little rock her Bosu Sport! I didn't want this campaign to end! I seriously stare at our Bosu's wondering what fun post I could make and remember it is over. So sad. We should all do a Bosu challenge for Mom's and Kid's sometime later! I know my kids had a blast! can't wait to learn more about you and your family through the Blog hop!
Me too! I loved seeing everyone's photos of their kiddos. Super creative group of bloggers 🙂
I really want to try some BOSU workouts! They have some classes at my gym so I might start there. I'm the worst at balancing so I know it would be a great workout!
They are definitely very challenging workouts! And, they are amazing for balance.
I don't BOSU, but I think I should, it looks fun 🙂
Your daughter is absolutely gorgeous!!

Thank you Meg! She has so much fun with her BOSU. It's a tough workout though!
I want a bosu so badly! They are so awesome and too useful not to use!
Yep, they are really awesome!
I have used a bosu, but I don't own a bosu. It's on my list of things to get for my home gym, one day.
Anything that tests my balance makes me a stronger runner, that is one thing I have def found, which is while I love doing yoga balance poses like tree pose & king of the dance.
But the bosu is so versatile, cause you can use it both sides!

We LOVE our BOSU trainer as well. My three year old loves hopping on my BOSU in between sets. It looks like I may need to invest in the adorable child size BOSU! I am right there with you, I love the versatility and that it activates all those little stabilization muscles, talk about functional!

Love your pics, your daughter is adorable!! I keep my son's BOSU in my office and we all use it every day. Even my husband hops on it when he comes in to talk to me 🙂
