I am always a work in progress when it comes to developing healthy habits and sticking to them. Last month served as a bit of a reminder for me to take better care of myself. The first two weeks of February, we used more boxes of tissues in our house than I would like to admit. I ended up getting sick and put off going to the doctor for at least a week. Then, I ended up having a cough, sore throat and trouble breathing for almost two full weeks. I certainly wasn’t able to run or exercise and it definitely affected my progress on my heart rate training.
In looking back at those few weeks, I did not take very good care of myself. I barely took off any time from work. In fact, during that timeframe, there was even added stress in that environment. Not resting likely led to the extended duration of feeling sick and certainly didn’t help the never-ending cough. Honestly, I should know better since I typically find myself to be more susceptible to getting sick when I am not following a routine. I attempted to increase my vitamin intake, watch my fluid levels, and catch up on sleep after I was already sick. I really needed to be doing this all along!
So, when I received the opportunity to try SmartyPants Vitamins through my affiliation with Fit Approach, I jumped on the opportunity. If I am going to be responsible for providing a review to my followers, I know I will stick with something. I am SO bad about remembering to take vitamins! I end up leaving them out on the coffee table just so I remember from time to time. It's not the best system 🙂
My recent post Hot Stuff
I'm slowly getting better…. but just when I think I have it down, I slip up! 😉
I set a daily alarm on my phone to help remind me to take my vitamins every day. Otherwise, I'd forget!
My recent post Friday Five – Five Things I Love About Spring
I think I need to find a better time for my phone alarm. I'm usually running around like a nut in the morning and I will shut it off before I get to take them…. and then I forget!
I keep them at my desk near my phone.
What are your tricks for the weekends? I thought about leaving them at work because it would be easier for them to stare me in the face!
I keep my vitamins in the kitchen near the coffeemaker which I use each morning.
Yes! I think that it the one item I consistently use every single morning!
I take my daily multi-vitamin every day with breakfast. It's the only way I'll remember to take it.
I'm in the bad habit of eating breakfast at my desk! Although I do consistently make coffee at home to take to work!
I tried these at the St. Jude expo back in December. Pretty good!
They aren't overly sweet which is one thing I really like about SmartyPants!
I take my multi-vitamin in the morning when I'm fixing my breakfast.
I store my vitamins by the foods I eat everyday.
That's a smart idea!
I drink mine first thing in the morning while I am letting the dog outside
Great way to start the day!
