When it comes to shopping, Publix is my go-to grocery store. Since moving to Georgia, I am absolutely hooked and so thankful to have a store about five minutes from my house! It doesn’t get much easier than that when it comes to a quick post-work meal or regular weekly shopping.
Thankfully, Publix also carries some of my absolute favorite grocery store staples for runners! So, let’s talk drinks first! Did you know that Publix carries, Cheribundi? It’s one of my favorite recovery tools. The benefits of tart cherries and whey protein are the perfect recovery tool after a strenuous workout. Cheribundi Protein accelerates recovery and increases stamina – perfect for runners! It’s sweetened with Stevia and has the same 8 grams of whey protein but with 1/3 fewer calories and 1/3 less sugar as their traditional Rebuild blend.
Publix carries Nuun Hydration too! I’m a huge Nuun fan and have loved their products ever since I found out about them during my pregnancy. Since moving to Georgia, staying hydrated is quite the challenge. During the day, I make sure I keep my Nuun vitamins within reach and regularly use Nuun Active when I am on the run! So, if you find yourself in need of a tube and can’t wait for online delivery, look no further than Publix!
As a runner, I sometimes get the mid-afternoon munchies while I am at work. Instead of snacking on junk from the vending machine or donuts from the breakroom, I opt to stash an orange or grapefruit (citrus fruits are my favorite!) or an RX Bar in my bag. Publix carries quite a variety of RX Bars! My daughter loves the Chocolate and Mint while I prefer the Chocolate Sea Salt! It’s perfect for my sweet tooth. And, the variety of fresh fruits and veggies isn’t only perfect for mid-days snacks but DINNER!
Publix is also the ideal place to shop for your pre-race meals! Who doesn’t love an excuse to eat a few extra pre-race carbohydrates? With tons of options, you can easily put together a simple meal to prepare you for your big race. Tonight, at my house, we are digging into a little pasta with a side of protein. Oh, and when I’m not getting ready for a race, who else is with me on the Publix prepared chicken options or subs– delicious!! {Hint: After the race, treat yourself!}

We love publix… the free huge cookie at the bakery keeps my toddler content in the store. I’m not a runner but some of my best friends are runners :-D.
