Friday Five: Spring Break 2016 Edition

Whenever I say the words Spring Break, images of bikinis, shots of Tequila, and exotic locales come to mind.  No, I did not venture off to Mexico for Spring Break but it was still an exciting week nonetheless.  So this week, for Mar, Courtney, and Cynthia‘s Friday Five Link-up, I’m sharing a peek into my week since it was far more exciting than my typical week at work. Maine:  We kicked off last weekend in Maine.  It’s one of my absolute {Read More}

New Year + Holiday Ramblings

Happy New Year!  I fell off the face of the planet.  Well, that is a bit of an exaggeration but if you are a blogger, not posting for a month is practically disappearing into the night in the blogging world.   Yet, if you follow me on other social media platforms, you probably knew that I didn’t really disappear for good.  I just tend to have a difficult time keeping this particular piece of social media up to date with {Read More}

Part II: 2015 Ragnar Vegas with Team Nuun

Ahhh, so where were we…. Yes, 2015 Ragnar Vegas with Team Nuun.  As I mentioned in my last blog post, thanks to the time change coming from the East coast, I woke up at 4:30am the morning of Ragnar Vegas.  This is not good when you have an overnight relay ahead of you!  I embraced it and since my roommates were in Van 1, I went downstairs with them to grab some breakfast and say hello/goodbye to Van 1 before they {Read More}

Part I: Ragnar Vegas with Team Nuun

This weekend, I had the opportunity to run Ragnar Vegas with Nuun Hydration‘s Viva Los Electrolitos!  As I mentioned to my teammate Evelin, I have a difficult time recapping relays events on my blog.  It seems impossible to do the experience any justice within the context of one blog post.  But, I’m really going to try here and will split it up into a few posts. After a five hour flight, I made my way to the Flamingo hotel to meet up {Read More}

Race Recap: 2015 Gulf Beach Half Marathon

Last Friday, I gave you a little bit of a preview about the 2015 Gulf Beach Half Marathon in my #FridayFive post.  So, head on over there if you want the quick and dirty 😉  Otherwise, hang tight because this might get lengthy.  To give you some history, I ran the Gulf Beach Half Marathon in 2013 and again in 2014.  In 2013, I set my current personal record on this course and loved the race.  Since 2013, running and I {Read More}

Friday Five: Fall Racing & Tough Decisions

Okay, so it is seriously time to dust off my blog.  I’m linking up with Mar, Courtney and Cynthia‘s Friday Five to give you the quick and dirty lowdown on my running life lately.  I do have full recaps coming but I thought this would give those of you still hanging around a very quick recap of my past few months of running, questioning my decision to take on a fall marathon, and what’s up next! 1.) Gulf Beach Half {Read More}

Friday Five: Life Lately

So, lately, I suck at blogging and it seems to be pushed to the bottom of the priority list every darn week.  It’s not that I don’t have plenty of ideas whirling around in my head.  It’s just that the motivation to put it down on paper, or this website, disappears when my free time is limited to late night and early mornings. Thanks to the lovely ladies of the DC Trifecta (Mar + Cynthia + Courtney) and their Friday Five {Read More}

Race Recap: 2015 Beach to Beacon + Maine Fun!

I can’t believe that it is already August 10th!  Where on earth does time go?  July was an absolute blur.  After heading to Maine for the Fourth of July weekend, and traveling to San Antonio for work, it was off to Maine again for the 2015 Beach to Beacon road race. The Thursday before the race, I drove up to Freeport with Cora. We settled in on Thursday night before having some guests over on Friday!  Mar from Mar on the {Read More}

Race Recap: L.L. Bean 10k & Family Fun Run 2015

For the fourth year in a row, we celebrated the Fourth of July in Freeport, Maine.  It’s one of my favorite places to relax and run!  After missing out on the L.L. Bean 10k last year, I knew I wanted to be in town for the 2015 L.L. Bean 10k & Family Fun Run.  I love the support that the Freeport community brings to this race each and every year.  With no more than 1,500 runners, the size of this race {Read More}
