GORE-TEX Philadelphia Half Marathon Race Weekend

Disclosure:  I received two complimentary entries into the GORE-TEX Philadelphia Half Marathon thanks to GORE-TEX, the title sponsor of the event.  As always, all opinions are my own! The weekend before Thanksgiving (yes I know I am super delayed in posting!), we packed up the car and headed out of town to Philadelphia!  This was my first trip to Philly in over a decade.  I last visited the City of Brotherly Love to watch an Army Navy football game while Jake {Read More}

Race Recap: 2015 Gulf Beach Half Marathon

Last Friday, I gave you a little bit of a preview about the 2015 Gulf Beach Half Marathon in my #FridayFive post.  So, head on over there if you want the quick and dirty 😉  Otherwise, hang tight because this might get lengthy.  To give you some history, I ran the Gulf Beach Half Marathon in 2013 and again in 2014.  In 2013, I set my current personal record on this course and loved the race.  Since 2013, running and I {Read More}

Race Recap: L.L. Bean 10k & Family Fun Run 2015

For the fourth year in a row, we celebrated the Fourth of July in Freeport, Maine.  It’s one of my favorite places to relax and run!  After missing out on the L.L. Bean 10k last year, I knew I wanted to be in town for the 2015 L.L. Bean 10k & Family Fun Run.  I love the support that the Freeport community brings to this race each and every year.  With no more than 1,500 runners, the size of this race {Read More}

Race Recap: 2015 West Point “Fallen Comrades” Half Marathon

So, a while back, my running group here at West Point decided to sign up for the 2015 West Point “Fallen Comrades” Half Marathon.  I immediately signed up since the memorial run honors fallen graduates of the United States Military Academy and is home turf.  Well, fast forward to last weekend and it was race day!  Despite not running long since the Disney Glass Slipper Challenge, I thought I would go ahead and run it for fun.  And, with the {Read More}

Hood to Coast: Team Nuun’s Seaside Celebration

The 198 mile Hood to Coast adventure ends in Seaside, Oregon.  Since I ran with Van 1, we had a little bit of time to rest and relax before meeting our Van 2 runners at the finish line.  We took advantage of the opportunity to shower before making out way down to the shore for some much needed food and beer.  Then it was off to the shoreline to dip our toes in the chilly water before we made our {Read More}

HTC 2013 ~ TEAM NUUN

Last week, after the events in Boston, I really needed a pick me up.  Wednesday, I got more than a pick me up as it was announced that I made Nuun‘s Hood to Coast Relay Team. I could not be more excited to join 19 other running bloggers on this journey!  For a list of my teammates, be sure to check out Nuun’s team announcement here. Now it’s time to decide on my top three choices for leg preferences.  Check {Read More}

Lisa Runs for Cupcakes for Team Nuun!

A few weeks ago, Nuun announced that they would once again be forming teams for the 2013 Hood to Coast relay.  Last year, I was brand new to the blogging world when Nuun announced that they were taking applications for Hood to Coast. I didn’t apply. I watched the race weekend unfold via the blogs and social media outlets of the Nuun runners and kicked myself for not putting myself out there and giving it a shot. So this year, when Nuun made the announcement {Read More}
