Race Recap: Navy 5 Miler

After a last minute decision on Saturday morning, I ran the  Navy 5 Miler in D.C. on Sunday morning. I left this out of my last post but the real reason I ran this last minute race is because one of my husband’s friends was entered in the Wounded Warrior division.  When we found out he was entered in the race on Friday, we knew we wanted to go support him in his first hand bike race since becoming injured.  To {Read More}

Another Mother Runner’s 10 Running Q’s Game

The ladies of Another Mother Runner each answered 10 running-related questions about themselves (here and here) and then asked their followers to play along and share their answers.  Here goes nothing! 1.  Best run ever:  My best run was my second half marathon, the Disney Princess.  Honestly, it was because of that race that I started this blog.  It is the race that really hooked me back into running.  At the finish line, I felt strong and incredibly proud of myself.  Pixie {Read More}

Week Recap 9/9 - 9/16

SUN:  5k - 9/11 Heroes Run MON:  OFF TUES:  5k - Great Cupcake Race WED:  OFF THURS: {Read More}

Last Minute Decision…

Today, I made a very last minute decision to run the Navy 5 Miler TOMORROW! We drove to Joint Base Anacostia this morning to register since the online registration was closed.  [Note:  Super jealous of the Air Force and Navy housing and overall appearance of things there.  The Army definitely needs to take note of their military counterparts.]  Once I got over how gorgeous the housing and facilities were, I was through the payment line and bib pickup without a {Read More}

Welcome back to Lake Artemesia

After a LONG break with Lake Artemesia, I finally returned for a run on Thursday morning.  A crazy summer of travel and an odd work schedule meant that the last time I saw Lake Artemesia for a solo run was easily a few months ago. Thursday, I was back at it for a 6 miler. CAPRI WEATHER = HAPPY GIRL! Hoping for many more fall runs to come!Lisa
