On Saturday, prior to the Enchanted Evening with ZOOMA, we went to the runDisney Princess Half Marathon race expo at the Coronado Springs Resort. Since we were not staying on property, we headed to Downtown Disney in order to catch a bus to the expo. I found a parking spot right next to the runDisney transportation sign. It was fate.
We hopped on the bus and rode to the resort. Picking up our bibs and race shirts was a breeze, unlike some of the stories I heard from the day prior.

I really wanted to hit up the runDisney merchandise tent but the line snaked back towards the bib pick up area. No thank you. I just do not have patience for that! So much for my Coast to Coast t-shirt. We walked around a bit since we had some time to kill before the ZOOMA party. Shopping was a bit difficult since the vendors were all slammed. I did however stop by the Team Sparkle booth and was able to finally meet fellow cupcake fanatic Elise. It really is so nice to put faces to twitter handles! We are so much more than that so it is always nice to meet social media folks in real life!
A bonus of the expo was listening to Another Mother Runner duo, Dimity McDowell and Sarah Bowen Shea. Listening to their talks filled with race related anecdotes allowed for a few chuckles to lighten the mood before the big day.

I didn't attend Princess this year (and totally regret it), but have heard a few stories about it (like running out of merchandise!). Are the names on the wall something new? I don't remember that being there when I ran it last!
Next year I want to do this so bad!!! Having 3 daughters I think I NEED to show them how to be a sporty mommy princess, or maybe queen..? Haha. It looks so much fun!!
Ugh. I went to the expo Saturday as well and even an hour after it opened it was a mad house. I never made it into the official merchandise store and totally missed the wall of names. Bummer!! I did sign up for Wine and Dine at the expo though and got a nice runDisney sling bag!
Way to go! What a great accomplishment!
