Well, I completed MY FIRST MARATHON on Sunday at the Marine Corps Marathon in DC! MCM ’13: It’s Almost Time!
This week has been very busy and fun! Aside from MCM ’13, I’m leaving my current job based out of DC, so I planned my last days of work around marathon weekend. Crazy? Maybe. I just like to think that it saved me another trip to DC. Plus, now that I had my last day of work on Thursday, I have a week off between my old job and my new job! WIN! One week to be completely lazy post-marathon {Read More}
Race Recap: 2013 Rock ‘n’ Roll Brooklyn 10k
Last weekend I ran the 2013 Rock ‘n’ Roll Brooklyn 10k. Since we live about an hour from Brooklyn, I figured I would drive in for the event. HUGE mistake! Despite leaving at 4:30 and arriving to Brooklyn around 5:35, all of the recommended parking lots provided by the Rock ‘n’ Roll website were full. Yes, all of them. Do I fault them, no. For us, it was not only a date to commemorate the victims of 9/11 but to honor the strength and determination {Read More}

My #1 Challenge…
You might think that my #1 challenge right now is training for my marathon. Well…. while that certainly a challenge, I have something else that is mentally zapping me these days. It’s my career. I know I don’t often talk about my work but since moving to West Point, NY, I have finally felt the pressures of being a military spouse and juggling my career. Over the past few years, I have been fortunate enough to continue working with the {Read More}
