For a majority of my work week, I am sitting at my desk, talking to clients while sitting at my desk, or staring at a computer screen… you guessed it… while sitting at my desk. When BackJoy approached me about partnering for the #posturepledge and testing out a few of their products, I had to admit to myself that I could definitely use some help in this department since I spend a lot of time hunched over my desk. The #posturepledge is a worthwhile commitment since I will likely continue to sit behind this desk for years to come.
So, if you are an office dweller like me, here are a few tips to get your posture back on track!
And, after testing out the BackJoy Posture Plus, I can definitely attest to their claims.
1) It corrects your posture. Without even thinking about it, the BackJoy helps you find your most comfortable posture.
2) It moves with you. You don’t have to strain to maintain perfect posture. Since it moves with you, you don’t have to even think about it!
3) BackJoy engages your core muscles. Where was the BackJoy when I was working with my physical therapist on my diastasis recti?! Seriously though, this product makes you engage your core while you are sitting. It’s easy to slip in and out of proper posture when you aren’t think about it but, the BackJoy does it for you.
I’m really happy that I decided to take the #posturepledge and will continue to keep the BackJoy in my office as long as I am still planted there! Do you want the opportunity to try out BackJoy for yourself? Enter for your chance to win the SitSmart Posture Plus and Stress Roller using Rafflecopter.

I always thought I had pretty good posture but now that I'm pregnant, it's all about comfort and good posture isn't hardly included in that!
I remember those days well! You are absolutely right though. As long as YOU are comfortable, that position wins!
My posture definitely needs improvement. Having a desk job does not help anything.
I know, I feel the same way about the desk. Although, having my hot pink BackJoy at my desk has helped force me to sit properly.
I have TERRIBLE posture, and I assume that's what's contributing to the bad back pain I am having. I would LOVE to win the BackJoy - I sit at a desk all day in front of a computer, like you. I imagine this would be really helpful for me!
My recent post workout fuel/energy variety pack giveaway!
Yes, I definitely think it would be helpful if you are sitting at a desk all day. I really enjoy that it forces me to sit up at my desk instead of being hunched over the keyboard. Good luck!
I definitely need to work on my posture!
We all do!
I have always had poor posture - rounded slumped shoulders. I've seen improved posture with doing ballet-type workouts, so I guess that's my little tip.

What types of workouts do you do? My mother-in-law swears by barre. I think I need to try something like that too!
I have horrible posture. I'm very conscious of it and I'm constantly trying to correct myself when I get really slumped.
It's tough to constantly be aware of your posture!
LOVE THIS! I worked with a physical therapist for a while for some back issues and he always stressed posture at work. In my last office I had a standing desk, but the last 6 months have been full of bad sitting at my desk. This product sounds great!
I would love a standing desk! A girl can dream. If only folks realized the damage that can be done from all that sitting!
I THINK i have good posture. I sometimes wonder cause…man…sitting all day gets to you. I am always getting up and stretching. I think my chair is the culprit for a sore back often!!! it is important…getting up ever hour or two to walk stretch put shoulder back!!!

I noticed that my chairs definitely make a different in my posture… oh and couches, forget it. It is so hard for me to sit properly on a couch!
Ohhh my achin’ back! 12 hours at a desk is killer. Our new stand-up desks really seem to help, but wearing heels hurts my feet. Just can’t win! After reading this post I’ve been trying to sit up straight. It’s exhausting haha
What a great little tool.
I slouch when I sit.
I tend to cross my legs. However, IF I do keep my legs uncrossed & feet on the floor, I tend to sit up straighter.
I really need to work on my posture as well as my balance.
I don't,and have issues if I sit for a long time I tend to slouch. I think this would help a lot!
