Review: Manitoba Harvest HempPro 70

Sometimes I feel like that should be my new title. Recently, I feel as though I am on the quest to find the perfect protein powder. Thanks to my affiliation with Fit Approach, I was able to give Manitoba Harvest’s NEW HempPro 70 a whirl.

For me, one of the major benefits of Manitoba Harvest’s NEW HempPro 70 is that it’s water-soluble. That means it is easy enough for me to toss in my bag before work and mix it on the go. I prefer to mix it with Almond Milk but if that isn’t available, water works just fine. It’s plant-based which makes it easily digestible. I also like that there are minimal ingredients in this product and it’s fairly low on the glycemic index. I like having the flexibility of adding my own sweet touch if I want it. Another bonus is that each serving has a whole lot of protein! The chocolate flavor packs 14 grams, while the vanilla has 15 grams of protein. Plus, it is chock full of omegas.

The only downside, is it still tastes a little green. Yea, that’s an interesting description, I know… BUT, it tastes less “green” than a whole heap of other products I have tried. Honestly, I think this might be my new go to products since most of my recipes tend to mask those healthy green flavors anyway. So, if you are like me and can’t get away without having a touch of sweet with your protein, whip it up with some strawberries, almond milk, chia seeds and almond butter. I promise that this combo will not disappoint!
