A Week in Maine

The cooler temps in Maine definitely helped start off July on the right foot.  The amount and types of activity this week are a perfect example of how I would like to spend the rest of my summer, in terms of physical activity.  Without any major races on my calendar, I think this is a great way to maintain my fitness levels and have some fun. L.L.Bean 10k SURPRISE!

After the L.L.Bean 10k road race, we went to watch the awards ceremony, kids races, and stumbled upon the one and only, Joan Benoit Samuelson, signing autographs!  What an amazing surprise! Race Recap: L.L.Bean 10k - July 4, 2012

Happy Fourth of July.  I hope you all enjoyed your holiday!   This morning I ran the L.L.Bean Fourth of July 10k in Freeport, Maine.  Despite  it’s famed hills, it was such a well organized and enjoyable race. July is off to a Great Start!

July is off to a great start up in Maine! Jake and I woke up and went for a short run; the weather today was just gorgeous.
