I can’t believe that this race happened over a month ago. I think I delayed this post since I had such a great time being an ambassador and meeting so many great folks through ZOOMA! Hello post-race blues! Well, that plus moving! So let’s cut to the chase… Saturday morning, I woke up early to make sure that I was at the start of the ZOOMA Annapolis Half Marathon. First things first, I went to the porta-potties. I ended {Read More}
ZOOMA - Coming Soon!
I cannot believe that ZOOMA Annapolis is almost here. It feels like ages ago that I applied to be a race ambassador and was accepted! And well, race week is here! I swear, I love this race but this race must not love me. Last year, I almost didn’t run because of some family issues that interfered with my training. And this year, I have to say, with the stress of work and the move, my lack of training has {Read More}
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! I took a much needed break from blogging and social media over the holidays. I wanted to focus on enjoying time with family and friends and I did just that. My two week vacation from work brought us to Connecticut and Maine to visit with family and then down to South Carolina to ring in the New Year with some of our friends. First up is the Cherry Blossom Ten Miler on April 7th. I have heard that this is a must run race while living in DC, especially if those cherry blossoms are in fact in bloom for the race. Fingers crossed {Read More}
ZOOMA Annapolis 2013
ZOOMA Annapolis is back on my race calendar for 2013! I am so excited to announce that I will be running the race as a ZOOMA Annapolis ambassador! Last year, my experience at ZOOMA Annapolis was so positive. I had a blast participating in the weekend’s events - from the expo and listening to the talk provided by Another Mother Runner‘s Dimity McDowell and Sarah Bowen Shea to the barefoot wine after party at the finish line. And listening to the stories of other {Read More}
Rockin’ the Strip
As runners rocks the strip in Vegas this weekend, I can’t help but be a bit melancholy. A year ago, I ran my first half marathon in Vegas. I started my blog well after this experience so I never wrote a race recap for the Strip at Night. While the race was a fiasco of sorts in terms of logistics, I didn’t care. Running this race was packed full of mixed emotions. Running this race made me want to run {Read More}
