Tough Chik Ragnar Napa

Thanks to the Friday Five link-up with Mar, Cynthia, and Courtney, I’m offering five races you need to experience! And, don’t worry because I am offering you some races that are still taking registrations and races that you can throw your name in the hat via their lottery systems. Plus, there is a little bit for everyone with a variety of distances! Beach to Beacon 10k: This is hands down one of my favorite races. I love Maine and the execution of {Read More}

I’m Back! Disney World 2015

Disney 2015 + prAna Paisley Jacket

I’m back after a whirlwind weekend at Walt Disney World! I’m so thankful for the weekend of warm weather with my family. But, now, it’s back to the the work grind and some freezing weather. I am so happy to report that I raced! Despite a rough February of training, I managed to race this weekend. I ran the Enchanted 10k on Saturday. Then Cora and I ran the 200m Kid’s Race together shortly after the 10k. Then, to top it off, I {Read More}

Peaks and Valleys: Adventures in Training Week 5, 6 & 7

Peaks and Valleys: Adventures in Training Weeks 5, 6 & 7

It’s time for me to share Peaks and Valleys: Adventures in Training Week 5, 6 & 7, my third series of training logs from 2015. This recap is definitely delayed as I intended to have this posted on February 9th! Whoops. Peaks and Valleys: Adventures in Training Week 1 & 2

This year, I decided I want to get back to the roots of my blog. I originally started this little corner of the web to hold myself accountable to my training goals and plans. While my plans for the year are still a work in progress, one of my goals for the year is to regularly post my training progress, even if some weeks are better than others. I’m not sure if this will end up being a weekly or bi-weekly {Read More}

Race Recap: 2014 Gulf Beach Half Marathon

Gulf Beach 2

A few weeks ago, with less than 40 spots until the race sold out, I went ahead and finally purchased my entry into the 2014 Gulf Beach Half Marathon. This was my PR race from last year, where I worked for my 1:50:15 finishing time {recap here!}. I knew I was not in shape to try for a PR but I thought it would be the perfect training run. I really wanted to see if I could cover the half {Read More}
